About us
Alkrington Podiatry was founded over 20 years ago by Joanna Adamson. In July 2025 podiatrists Beatrice Masina and Marie O’Brien took it over, and they run it today with the same aim: excellent foot care and honest advice, in a friendly and relaxed clinic.

What we believe
We want everyone to leave the clinic comfortable, happy with their treatment and clear about what happens next. That means listening first, explaining what we find in plain English, and never rushing: first appointments are 45 minutes for that reason.
A foot assessment is about more than nails and hard skin. Changes in circulation, skin colour, temperature or feeling can be early signs of conditions such as peripheral arterial disease or diabetes-related nerve damage, and we’re trained to spot them. If something needs looking into, we’ll tell you straight away and explain when to see your GP.
Why registration matters
“Podiatrist” and “chiropodist” are protected titles in the UK. Only professionals registered with the Health and Care Professions Council may use them, which means they have completed an approved degree, meet the HCPC’s standards and keep their skills up to date.
Foot health practitioners and nail technicians aren’t regulated in the same way. You can check anyone’s registration on the HCPC register.
