How we look after your information
This notice explains what Alkrington Podiatry does with the personal information you give us through this website and when we contact you by text or email.

Who we are
Alkrington Podiatry, 64 Mount Road, Alkrington, Middleton, Manchester, M24 1DZ, is responsible for your information. If you have any questions, contact us at hello@alkringtonpodiatry.com or by phone.
What we collect through this website
When you send a booking request we receive your name, mobile number and email address, the treatment you’re interested in, the days and times that suit you, any message you write, and your choices about texts and emails. Please don’t include detailed medical information in the form; we’ll go through your health at your appointment, where it’s recorded in your clinical notes.
How we use it
- To reply to you and arrange your appointment.
- To send appointment confirmations and reminders by text and email, unless you ask us not to.
- To send occasional news and offers, but only if you’ve agreed. Every such message includes a way to stop them, free of charge.
Our lawful basis for arranging and reminding you about appointments is that it’s needed to provide the care you’ve asked for, and our legitimate interest in running the clinic smoothly. For news and offers, it’s your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Who we share it with
We never sell your information. Texts are delivered by our SMS provider and emails by our email service; they handle your number or address only to deliver our messages. Our website is hosted in the UK or European Economic Area by a reputable hosting company. We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies on this website.
How long we keep it
Booking requests that don’t lead to an appointment are deleted after 12 months. If you become a patient, your contact details are kept with your records for as long as the law requires health records to be kept.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. To stop news and offers, use the link in any message or contact us. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, please tell us first; you can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
